Photostory Friday: The Big Boy

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

My darling boy, Joubert is turning five next week. He seems so grown up all of a sudden, but still so small at the same time. According to him though, he is a very big boy. So big in fact, that he is totally exasperated by the stupidity of the rest of world around him. Joubert always knows best and mom seldom knows what she is talking about. Cooperation from him is in very short supply - unless off course sweets, toys or visits to friends are involved! But sometimes, at night, when he is very sleepy, he remembers the comfort his mother can bring and he curls up on my lap and gives me a big hug. He can rebelliously stare at me with those soulful brown eyes all he likes, but he will forever be my little boy and I know that some part of him will always remember that.

I remember when my ten year old son was five...he is too big now to curl up in my lap anymore. he still will come to me on occasion and ask for a hug...and it is great.
