Doesn't he have the most beautiful eyes?

The son of one of Henk's colleagues I photographed on Sunday at a year-end function. Such a little cutie!

And also - I am sooo excited. I ordered a new camera and lens today, which should arrive before the end of the week. I've been using the Olympus E400 and though I'm not entirely unhappy with its performance, I find the range of lenses available for Olympus SLR's very disappointing. So, after a lot of consideration, I decided to buy a Canon 40D (yes, I know there's a new 50D, but the 40D is so much more affordable now and it meets all my requirements, so I'm sticking with thinking I made the right decision for my current situation). I also ordered a 50mm f1.4 lens and I simply can't wait! I've been longing for a 50mm lens for what feels like forever and I hope it lives up to my expectations! I'm sure once it arrives I'll feel inspired to take hundreds of new photos to display.

Is this J's son?
Enjoy your new camera, I'm very jealous, I love my Canon, but I'd also love an upgrade!

He's precious! Those eyes are so intriguing =)

Welcome to the world of Canon's LOL I had the Olympus and had the same problem, no lenses. Matt had the XSI so I sold my 510 on ebay and paid off the xsi. After the first of the year I will order another xti or xsi because 2 photographers in the house fighting over 1 camera...doesn't work LOL

Enjoy the new camera!

First of all, OOOOH THOSE EYES, they just draw you in.

A 40D? Good choice!! Did you switch to Canon now? OH THE ACCESSORIES! :)

I've been dreaming for the replacement to the 5D. Having said that, I'll just continue to dream. :)

Enjoy that new camera when it arrives. I'm sure we will see the results of the new equipment soon.
