Weekly Winners: 11 - 17 January

Walking away

My cousin got married yesterday and I was very touched by their beautiful ceremony. I decided not to interfere with the photography of the bride, but couldn't resist to snap at a few other things...

One of the cakes

...and another

She had my favourite flowers on the table (Protea)

...and I couldn't stop photographing them

Sunset over Noordhoek beach

House over-looking the ocean (wish it was mine!)

All by its lonesome

Karin these photo's are outstanding..you know what I've noticed since reading all the different photography blogs is how unique everyone's style is..
I love your style, the way you think when taking a photo...
I can learn so much from someone like you!!!

My family live walking distance from that beach in Noordhoek...I felt a twang at my heart strings seeing that sunset...they have amazing ones there always.

Ok, I'm officially lost for words. House on the hill??? That must be one of the most beautiful photographs yet. It is but AWESOME. Can I please buy 10?? And lonesome shell - angle of shot simply great. I want more!

Karin, your photography is breathtaking!

I shoot with an Olympus (E500) too, but I hate how dark it takes pictures in Auto mode. Which has been kinda good for me, because it's pushed me to shoot in A, S, and even M.

The first pic is beautiful. It would not have been the same without the people in the background.
I have seen one or two sunsets in Cape Town, but never down towards the Noordhoek side of the Peninsula. I think its time for me to go on a long holiday in Cape Town again.
